Introduction

I believe Cassius does think to much like Brutus says, these are my reasons why I think this. First of all towards the end of the play when Brutus and Cassius are battling in a play against another army, they are losing and Cassius immediately thinks that they are going to lose so then he instantly kill himself. It turns out that they were then winning and when soldiers came to tell him the good news they found out he was dead. This suggests that Cassius jumps to conclusions way to quickly, and if he had just held out and have waited a little bit he could have still been alive and could have been breathing. He could have then gone back to Rome and taken what of his. The crown. Also he could have talked some tactics with Brutus and his army. This could have then resulted in them winning the war and winning back over the people of Rome. This could have then ment that they could have gone back to Rome as triumphant and noble men. This could have also gone and got their dignity back , but Cassius like I said earlier thinks to quickly. Cassius also over thinks I j the ways that he speaks to himself and other people. Unfortunately I haven’t got any evidence in the text to support this but it’s like if someone was to scheme a plan, Cassius would always think of the negatives, never ever the positives. Also he says things to quickly as well he doesn’t think what he is about to say.

  1. If this is the Introduction and the first paragraph then why is the text not broken into two parts?

You have made some good points about the characters of Brutus and Cassius.

I would recommend you take care to show you understand that this is a play, such as by discussing Shakespeare’s dramatic technique rather than just retelling the story. After all this is a LITERARY essay and not a history essay. Look at the example here:
